Lisa Huffaker is a singer, poet, and visual artist. She has taught several camps at Oil and Cotton, including Zine Camp, Shadow Play Camp, and Opera Camp. She sings with The Dallas Opera, and holds a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory. Lisa’s poetry has been published in numerous literary journals. She teaches creative writing at Yavneh Academy of Dallas and through the Writer’s Garret. She thinks obsession is useful, and loves to explore the same idea through many processes of making. She likes drumming, agaves, rusty bottlecaps, insects, spirals, lime juice, pianos and typewriters.
